I first connected with The Sound228 by responding to a post looking for a writer. Writing had been on my radar for a while, so I jumped at the chance. My first article wasn’t assigned. I was able to choose the band myself. I went with Ampvene an alt/psych rock band from Albay, New York, who had an upcoming tour.

That same month, I was also chosen for the magazine’s “Photographer on the Scene” feature. It’s a monthly spotlight that highlights music photographer’s work. It was nice being recognized for my work behind the lens.
